Our church is founded upon particular beliefs and passions. The focus and emphasis of the entire Bible is Jesus Christ himself and our church finds its identity in Him. This shows up in what we care about (VALUES), what we live for (MISSION), and how we live that out (RHYTHMS).
Seth Williams, Pastor
Seth was raised in a Christian home in Genoa, Illinois, but did not come to know Jesus until his freshman year of college. Soon after coming to faith in Jesus, Seth felt that God was calling him to plant and pastor a church. His interest in church planting led to an interest in the Acts 29 Church Planting Network, which landed him at his sending church Redeemer Fellowship, in St. Charles, Illinois, where he spent the next five years preparing to plant and pastor Ransom City Church in Evanston. Seth has a passion for church planting, fueled by a desire to see more lives transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Chris McLaughlin, PastorAL Candidate
Chris was born and raised in Chicagoland. He began a relationship with Jesus through a campus ministry while in college. After graduation he joined staff with that same ministry with a passion to see other lives changed the way his was. Now Chris works on staff with Ransom City Church and is in the Elder Candidacy program to become one of the Pastors at Ransom City Church.
Gregg Prickett, PastorAL Candidate
Gregg also began following Jesus while in college. It was soon after beginning a relationship with God that Gregg found his passion for music and his passion for Jesus fused together. Gregg leads our Sunday Worship gatherings and is also in the Elder Candidacy process to become a Pastor at Ransom City Church.
Ransom City Church is a member of the Acts 29 Network, a trans-denominational peer to peer network of missional church planting churches.
We are also a part of the Southern Baptist Convention, a cooperative effort of over 42,000 North American baptist churches that unite around the gospel and the mission of the church to make disciples.
